Initial assessment involves a one to one appointment with the SaLT. During this time, the SaLT will assess your child’s strengths and difficulties through a range of assessments before providing feedback and discussing management.
Numerous post assessment options are then provided in accordance with the assessment feedback.
Our therapy & intervention is person centered and approached in a holistic manner. Therapy will be provided through the evidence gathered at initial assessment. Communication targets will be set and reviewed regularly to ensure your child reaches their maximum communication potential.
The SaLT’s input can range from direct therapy to indirect approaches depending on your child’s needs and presentation.
SaLT and Light provide a range of services to local schools and nurseries. Working together, we help you meet school/nursery targets along with developing your knowledge of other communication areas.
SaLT and Light successfully implement a number of provisions including staff training, group therapy, specialised communication environments and more.
We provide bespoke training to Schools, nurseries and other educational settings ranging from topic based information to specialist therapy approaches.
Training is tailor made to the individual setting to ensure students receive the maximum benefit from your educational environment.
