At initial assessment a detailed case history is taken. It is also an opportunity to discuss concerns. The SaLT will then complete an assessment. Assessment may be through observations, informal assessment and formal assessment. Following this, the SaLT will provide feedback and discuss management.

Not everybody wants a report following initial assessment. At Salt and Light, we offer a range of post initial assessment options surrounding reports, programmes and communication profiles. This is discussed with the SaLT at the end of initial assessment.
