It has been an exciting few months for Salt and Light the Speech Therapy Company. In the spring of 2018 we were made aware that a building had been purchased and was being refurbished in Sherwood Nottingham. This building would become a wellbeing centre.

In August I went to view the almost finished building. As I approached the building the sense of excitement started to grow. I opened the door and the atmosphere was amazing, one that I have never been able to receive from a wellbeing centre or health centre (either as a patient or working professional). It felt peaceful, welcoming, modern, fresh but not clinical. All hard qualities to get in any setting! I wondered if this would be the feeling throughout the building… and it was. Each room has a unique style, space and quality offering the opportunity to provide therapy.

Since joining Palmer House has been everything I expected it to be. It has lovely spaces to work in and is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside other therapists and councillors.
